Advanced Methods for Future Transport Systems

We are looking for two highly motivated and talented researchers to join our team as PhD students in Advanced Methods for Future Transport Systems. The successful candidates will work on developing and testing new methodologies for explaining and predicting human behaviour and decision-making in the context of future transport and infrastructure systems.
Project OverviewThe research project IMMERSION aims to develop new innovative methods for combining choice and neurophysiological process data. This involves new models for integrating choice and process data, new statistical inference procedures tailored to such models, and new methods for collecting rich behavioural data in immersive experiments.
Main Tasks- Developing and testing new flexible modelling and fast estimation approaches for combining choice and process data using probabilistic machine learning methods.
- Designing and implementing immersive virtual reality experiments to study human behaviour and decision-making in the context of future transport and infrastructure systems.
You will work closely with our team of experts in transportation science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, psychology, human factors, civil engineering, industrial engineering or a related discipline.
About the DepartmentOur department is part of DTU Management and focuses on advanced methods for human behaviour analysis in future transport systems. We collaborate with international partners and offer a dynamic and supportive environment for our PhD students.
