Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Automation Excellence Lead to join our Process Automation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in automation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering and project management. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with clients, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Your expertise will include process control systems, SCADA systems, PLCs, and regulatory compliance under GMP and GAMP requirements.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their expectations. Your role will be critical in maintaining our company's reputation for delivering world-class automation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, construct, and commission/qualify process control systems
  • Advise customers on their selection of automation solutions
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with project management to ensure timely action on project issues
  • Continuously optimize standards and guidelines
  • Work across a broad range of process areas such as fermentation, recovery and purification, freeze-drying, CIP/SIP, and various utility systems
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering or technical degree with experience in automation projects or production environments
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience within automation, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry under GMP and GAMP regulatory requirements
  • Practical knowledge of PCS or SCADA systems and experience with control systems such as Sattline, 800xA, DeltaV/Syncade, PCS7, iFix/iHistorian/iBatch, and PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
