Energy Transition Project Controls Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Planner/Project Controls Manager to join our Energy Transition team. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding the public and private sectors in the delivery of technologies and systems to meet global and national net zero targets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and controls, with extensive experience in the energy industry. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, progress measurement, and change management, as well as providing project reporting for both external and internal use.
The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be a senior leader in our project control department, responsible for providing guidance and support to project managers and team members.
Your Responsibilities- Act as Senior Project Controls Manager/Senior Planner on larger projects
- Create and maintain project schedules, progress measurement, and change management
- Provide project reporting for both external and internal use
- Lead and support project management with regards to controlling and follow-up on project status and reporting
- Review project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact
- Advising project managers and project management of any potential schedule issues
- Review and check sub-contractors progress reports for accuracy of progress measurement
- Data analysis and analysis of schedule and progress trends
- Respond to requests from project management related to scheduling and reporting
- Develop and implement processes for project control, planning, and reporting
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience of energy industry including senior project planning experience
- Technical degree, or bachelor/master's degree in engineering, or economics & business administration with a project management course
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Primavera P6
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, and Power BI systems
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
