Vestas, a pioneer in the wind energy industry, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Specialist – Siting Solutions to join our innovative Global Siting Solutions team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of renewable energy across both onshore and offshore projects.
Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance to Siting engineers, leveraging in-depth knowledge and solutions to enhance the siting assessment process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote innovation within the Siting community, ensuring Vestas remains at the forefront of siting technology and innovation.
- Engage with external stakeholders to stay informed on the latest research and developments in the siting domain.
- Develop and implement a roadmap to elevate the Vestas Siting community to the next level, driving operational excellence.
- Oversee the development of Siting Roadmaps, tools, and products to ensure Vestas remains a leader in the wind energy industry.
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Conversion Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of experience in site suitability assessment (Wind & Site), with expertise in at least one of the following areas: siting, loads, climate, or metrology.
- Proficiency in using tools such as WASP, WindPRO, Windfarmer, or OpenWind.
- Knowledge of hybrid solutions, including the integration of wind, solar, batteries, Power-to-X, Wind turbine generator controllers, and loads.
- Experience in offshore siting is beneficial.
- Good critical thinking abilities.
- Structured and systematic approach to work.
- Capable of managing and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
- Admirable skills in clear message delivery, complemented by an initiative-taking, affable personality and efficient change implementation.
- Adept at navigating and working within large organizations.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with clear and effective communication.
