Job Description

Tetra Pak is seeking an experienced professional to join our Automation Engineering Team in Aarhus, Denmark. As a Product Specialist Automation, you will play a key role in developing and implementing PLC-based software solutions for our equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, automation, and/or control engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in development and design of modular automation solutions. Proficiency in PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and/or Allen Bradley is also required.

We are looking for a problem solver with a strong personal drive, ability to delegate tasks, maintain overview, and take decisions while delivering personal results. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues from Tetra Pak's global market companies and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and implementation of PLC-based software solutions
  • Continuously improve existing software solutions and version manage the code base
  • Work closely with Product Manager to define and execute automation roadmap and plan for product team on projects and technical tasks
  • Regular contact with colleagues from Tetra Pak's global market companies and customers for technical/commercial support, support sales with cost calculations and evaluation of technical solutions
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting via remote connection or at customer site
  • Provide and secure input to technical documentation and manuals

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Professional engineer knowledge of electrical, automation, and/or control engineering
  • Minimum BA level degree in the field of engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in development and design of modular automation solutions, preferably in the food processing industry
  • Work experience on PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and/or Allen Bradley
  • Solid knowledge of functional safety, motion, mechatronics, and network topology
  • Proficiency in English is required
