At Ascendis Pharma, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology to drive meaningful change in patients' lives. As a key member of our global IT team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural principles of our Azure Cloud Platform and surrounding service offerings.

Job Overview

As a passionate and experienced Azure Cloud Platform Architect, you'll be responsible for defining the platform's architecture, executing on our Azure Cloud Backlog, and driving continuous development and improvement initiatives together with our IT product teams, business, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to define the platform architecture and governance framework and principles.
  • Execute on our Azure Cloud Backlog to develop the platform and services, assisting colleagues with developing and utilizing our platform for solving new business cases.
  • Drive continuous development and improvement initiatives together with our IT product teams, business, and vendors.
  • Think holistically and ensure solution design fits and supports Ascendis' growing business.
  • Act as a sparring partner for other IT Professionals.
  • Collaborate with and manage our external vendors delivering development and operations services.
  • Work closely together with other architects to ensure alignment with activities and overall architecture.

Our ideal candidate will have an academic degree - preferably a Master Degree of Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely different - and 5 years of experience within Microsoft Azure and Cloud Architecture.

Furthermore, they will have:

  • Experience working with hybrid models of infrastructure in a global company.
  • A pragmatic and holistic mindset.
  • Great stakeholder- and communication skills.
  • A desire to work collaboratively to achieve the best results.
  • A solid foundation in ITIL and governance processes.
  • Preferably, they have Azure Solutions Architect certification.

They are a strong team player and are eager to contribute to their team's success. They have an analytical approach with a can-do attitude.

Requirements and Qualifications

Our mid-senior-level role requires an academic degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or something completely different.

5 years of experience within Microsoft Azure and Cloud Architecture is essential.

Our ideal candidate has worked with hybrid models of infrastructure in a global company.

They possess a pragmatic and holistic mindset, great stakeholder- and communication skills, and a desire to work collaboratively.

ITIL and governance processes are also important for this role.

The candidate should be self-driven with a positive mindset, ready to take on responsibility and value being part of developing processes and bringing new ideas to the table.
