Intelligent Optimization Consultant – A Chance to Develop and Excel with AMCS

Within the Intelligent Optimization (IO) division, we focus on transport optimization systems for truck fleets across various sectors, including waste management, recycling, postal services, oil, and construction materials. We have honed our expertise in this area for over 15 years and continue to expand.

Our Offerings Include:

  • Static optimization of master plans and routes
  • Dynamic planning and execution of daily or weekly operations
  • Web-based interfaces
  • Mobile web applications for real-time feedback from drivers

We create generic, scalable systems designed to meet the diverse needs of our clientele. Our technology stack is based on Windows and includes:

  • C# (Web Servers, Auxiliary systems, interface mapping)
  • JavaScript/Typescript (Web front ends)
  • Git (source code management)
  • Azure DevOPS (cloud pipeline deployment, test automation)

What We Provide at AMCS Denmark

As a member of our IO Professional Services team, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of approximately 30 consultants in the Netherlands and Denmark (13 in Premium Services in Copenhagen). Your role will involve delivering advanced planning and control solutions for our clients. We are seeking new consultants for our Premium Services team to enhance and develop our existing customer solutions. The AMCS IO solutions are intricate software packages based on advanced optimization algorithms and cutting-edge technology. Given the critical nature of these solutions for our clients, the highest level of skill and commitment is essential.

In Premium Services, we operate with a flat organizational structure that promotes personal accountability. We support each other in continuous learning and growth, believing this approach leads to the best solutions. Our focus is on understanding our clients' businesses to deliver the necessary solutions. We take pride in our work and products, and our primary motivation is ensuring client satisfaction.

We aim for our consultants to master our extensive portfolio of products and services and gradually become experts in one or more key industries we serve. After approximately three weeks of introductory training, you will be assigned to a client, and before long, you will be ready to excel.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek individuals with:

  • Strong analytical abilities – preferably with knowledge and/or experience in operations research
  • Technical aptitude and some programming experience
  • A desire to engage with clients and deliver services of the highest standard

Requirements:

Fluent in Danish and English Proficiency in German is a plus

Regardless of your specific interests, we guarantee a challenging and stimulating work environment.

A master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science is required, and prior work experience is not mandatory.

Overall, we seek exceptional consultants who hold themselves to high standards. Experience in the IO sector is not a prerequisite; what matters most is a shared passion for delivering high-quality planning solutions and fostering strong, lasting client relationships.
