Drive Data and Analytics Transformation with Power BI

Lundbeck is committed to becoming a more data and digital innovation-driven company, and we're seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Architect to lead the adoption, implementation, and development of Power BI within our Data and Analytics department in Global IT.

As our Senior Power BI Architect, you will be key in enabling Lundbeck to be a focused innovator, driving sustainable, data-driven insights that significantly improve decision-making and promote innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the adoption of the PowerBI platform in the organization
  • Implement best practices in governance, documentation, monitoring, scaling of resources and licenses, and life-cycle management
  • Contribute to an integrated data architecture within the Data & Analytics department, leveraging platforms such as Snowflake and OneLake
  • Oversee automated monitoring of daily production, resource consumption, platform usage, and compliance
  • Coordinate between the BI platform, business units, and IT infrastructure for production and development
  • Train users and developers on the platform, enabling them to utilize features and new releases effectively
  • Provide system support for platform issues and business support for change requests
  • Facilitate the building and optimization of data models in Power BI and our data platform, Snowflake

About the Team

The Business Intelligence team is part of our new Data and Analytics department in Global IT, which currently consists of approximately 25 data, software, and AI engineers. You will report to Stine Tindahl, the Senior Manager for Business Intelligence.

We are on a mission to provide innovative solutions to Lundbeck, focusing on unlocking our data's value and creating data-driven insights. We build many of our data models on our Snowflake-based data platform using dbt, and we collaborate closely with our colleagues in the Data platform team.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Drive to engage the business to utilize and create value for them on the platform
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing Microsoft Power BI environments and delivering effective implementations
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and the ability to establish Microsoft and Industry best practices
  • Expertise in documentation standards, monitoring systems performance, scaling resources appropriately, managing licenses efficiently, and overseeing the entire life-cycle of data analytics solutions
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense Cloud
  • Proficiency in data modeling within Power BI and SQL
  • Understanding the usefulness of Python, R, and SQL and theoretical knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling or other data modeling techniques in the context of BI
  • Understanding principles for designing and implementing cloud applications, specifically within Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent in business-focused communication
