Environmental Sustainability Strategist

As a global leader in renewable energy, Ørsted is at the forefront of driving change towards a green energy future. We're seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Strategist to join our Workplace Sustainability team.
About the RoleWe're looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in decarbonization program management and/or energy efficiency management. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our global sustainability efforts and developing strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2024.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing our decarbonization program, including processes and policies to ensure we meet our targets on becoming carbon neutral in the entire value chain;
- Acting as a subject matter expert consultant on decarbonization and Energy Efficiency, and supporting our Workplace Project & Space Management team in identifying and developing global energy efficiency projects;
- Implementing processes and systems to monitor and track progress of our ESG performance globally to continuously improve our sustainability efforts and being able to report on relevant ESG data;
- Sustaining ISO 14001 and 50001 (clause 6.3), our Aspects and Impact Register, and assisting GREWM's departments with training and support to make staff aware of their environmental responsibilities;
- Acting as a change agent in the effort to integrate a sustainable mind-set across GREWM's organization by ensuring best practice and up-to-date knowledge on decarbonization and sustainability issues.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A higher educational level: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, engineering, sustainability);
- Substantial experience in decarbonization program management and/or energy efficiency management or similar roles;
- Educational and/or professional experience with ISO 14001 and 50001 (clause 6.3);
- Experience in ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance data) data management and reporting;
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools such as Excel and Power BI;
- A structured and focused approach, with a positive attitude and strong stakeholder and interpersonal skills.
