The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our research and development laboratory. This critical role ensures the smooth functioning of the lab, supports our research team, and maintains compliance with industry standards. If you have a strong background in biotechnology or related fields and are eager to make a meaningful impact in a start-up environment, we would welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply ordering. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company protocols, and industry standards. Oversee resource allocation to optimize efficiency. Support scientists and researchers by coordinating experimental workflows and troubleshooting technical issues. Maintain and update lab documentation, including SOPs, safety manuals, and training records. Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and regulatory agencies. Train and supervise laboratory staff and interns. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of research data.
About You:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences company. Proven experience managing a laboratory, including familiarity with lab equipment, workflows, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in relevant software tools for inventory management and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a start-up or small company setting. Knowledge of Danish and international regulatory requirements for biotech laboratories. Experience with RNA-based technologies or drug discovery processes.
