Central Role in Product Safety and Compliance

You will play a key role in KOMPAN's development team, collaborating closely with the organization on new and further development of exciting product lines. Your focus will be on the safety evaluation of customer-specific projects, from the idea stage to handover to production.

As the primary safety person on projects, you will be an innovative and creative player in interdisciplinary collaboration, creating innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Expertise in selected segments/product lines
  • Participating in safety evaluations of customer-specific solutions designed and developed in KOMPAN's Design Studios
  • Providing safety input to designers and engineers in product development projects
  • Preparing test specifications
  • Collaborating with the Product Safety team to define KOMPAN's standard and test products/components against established standards
  • Documenting compliance with relevant standards and legal requirements on new and existing products within the product line
  • Engaging in dialogue with certified third-party authorities, such as TÜV and UL

You will be part of the Product Safety department, consisting of 6 dedicated colleagues in Denmark and 3 in the Czech Republic. Limited travel activity of 10-20 days per year is expected.

Product Safety Expert with a Technical Background

You hold an educational background as a mechanical or production engineer or similar and have been working with product safety for more than 5 years. You come from the manufacturing industry, with a focus on product development or quality assurance.

To be successful in this role, you must maintain product safety in a direction where serious accidents on KOMPAN's playgrounds and other product lines are avoided. This requires an analytical approach and a natural interest in product development where quality and safety are paramount.

You must understand the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, both internally and externally, to create the conditions for the best solutions. You thrive in an open culture where daily life is characterized by dedicated colleagues who are passionate about their profession and products.

Further, you:

  • Have a great experience with standards and tests but would also like to help set new standards
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and the ability to make decisions on an informed and well-argued basis
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English
