About the Role

  • The Medical Advisor will be a member of the global medical affairs team, collaborating with Global Brand Leadership to provide medical input into commercial strategies.
  • The advisor will work closely with local medical affairs teams, global medical information, and global market access to ensure a successful global launch.
  • The role requires managing strategic key projects, project portfolios, or programs across LEO Pharma.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide medical expertise and input into global medical affairs and brand strategy plans.
  2. Develop global key expert engagement (KEE) and stakeholder engagement plans in accordance with overall strategic plans.
  3. Lead the development, attend, and present as an expert at external and internal meetings.
  4. Contribute to global interventional studies (IIS) or non-interventional studies (NIS) initiatives as assigned.
  5. Manage medical budgets for specific oncology projects.
  6. Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapy area.
  7. Responsible for medical and compliance review of external material.
  8. Train and mentor new colleagues on therapeutic areas and clinical pathways.
  9. Respond to requests for scientific/medical support from external stakeholders.
  10. Provide continuous scientific updates to global teams.

Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor (MD), PharmD, or PhD in natural sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience from medical affairs roles in oncology therapy areas.
  • Experience in immunotherapies and product launches is preferred.
  • Commercial understanding and ability to partner with global medical affairs teams and commercial teams.
  • Collaborative approach to align local strategy and plans with global medical affairs strategy.
