Job Description
Vattenfall is seeking a highly skilled Consent Manager to join its Offshore Consenting team in Denmark. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the company's offshore wind projects in Denmark.

The Offshore Consenting team is an international team with representation in all Vattenfall's key markets. We are involved throughout the offshore wind value chain, from pre-tender, through the tendering phase, project delivery, and throughout the operational phase. Our primary responsibility is securing permits for Vattenfall's offshore wind portfolio, and ensuring permit compliance during project delivery and operations.

In Denmark, Vattenfall operates 5 offshore wind farms, including the Vesterhav Nord and Syd projects that were fully commissioned in 2024. Beyond our current portfolio, we see potential for growth in this well-established and core offshore wind market.

As Consent Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing consenting requirements, risks, and opportunities to support project selection;
  • Delivering and implementing a consenting strategy in development projects to support bid preparation;
  • Understanding, anticipating, and communicating which permits, laws, and regulations are applicable to our projects;
  • Ensuring timely application for and receipt of permits needed to ensure our projects run smoothly;
  • Actively tracking and managing our permit requirements and commitments;
  • Working with project teams and packages to enable full permit compliance of their respective scopes;
  • Engaging with and reporting to permitting authorities (e.g., Energistyrelsen, Miljøstyrelsen, Søfartsstyrelsen);
  • Monitoring and anticipating regulatory developments with a potential impact on our permits;
  • Contributing to regulatory developments directly through consultations or via our industry associations or interest groups.


We offer a permanent position for 37 hours a week, along with a comprehensive secondary benefits package, including a non-contractual bonus up to 6% of annual gross salary, a company pension contribution of 10% of annual gross salary, and 25 vacation days with 5 extra days after 9 months of service.
