Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as Area Head of Sales. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing sales team, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and set direction for the sales team to deliver ocean volume and grow LNS revenues and optimize profits.
  • Coach and drive the sales team to sell and grow our product portfolio, exceeding set sales targets.
  • Define and set targets for sales incentives together with Sales FBP.
  • Actively monitor local NPS with the vertical/segment and drive local improvement to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage stakeholders across the area, region, and global functions, leading the transformation from the front according to the company strategy.
  • Ensure best practices are shared across the team, manage cross-functional relationships, and provide input to product teams on product value propositions.
  • Connect with the sales function across the world to enable network sales, and ensure that we produce sales materials and collateral to represent our business across the Maersk Network.
  • Build and develop a best-in-class sales team, ensuring succession plans are in place for key roles, including your own role.
  • Coach direct reports for success and development, manage team engagement, and ensure that Sales Force is appropriately utilized to ensure our reporting is to the highest possible standards.
Requirements
  • 15 years of sales experience in freight-forwarding companies, ideally with ocean as a strong base.
  • Growth mindset, always trying to go beyond targets.
  • Ability to identify customer pain points using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail and drive to serve customers.
  • Motivational leadership, solid planning skills, and ability to communicate clearly and set focus/direction.
  • Stakeholder management and proven leadership skills.
