The Biopôle is a pioneering biotech company dedicated to the future of drug discovery. As a medicinal chemist, you will be part of our newly established team in Copenhagen, Denmark, contributing to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics.
Your Role:- Develop translational pharmacology plans to support drug candidate progression and collaborate in cross-functional projects as subject-matter expert.
- Build data packages enabling PK/PD understanding and dose-to-man predictions.
- Design, oversee and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies using disease-relevant animal models run in collaboration with partners and expert CROs.
- Establish and coordinate activities relating to in vivo model development and validation of target engagement and PD biomarker assays.
- Identify and address critical biological questions and provide scientific leadership to guide target selection and impact disease indication decisions.
- Build and maintain external networks with expert CROs, collaboration partners and scientific advisors.
- Ph.D. in biology, biomedicine, or a related field, with at least 8 years of industry experience in Pharma/Biotech, and a strong track record in drug discovery and early development.
- Extensive expertise in in vivo pharmacology and PK/PD, including establishment of disease-relevant models and design/interpretation of in vivo studies.
- Strong background in immunology and translational science, and a deep understanding of immune pathways and mechanisms underlying inflammatory diseases.
- Broad experience with end-point analysis and biomarker assays/technologies to support pre-clinical and clinical drug development.
- A proactive and flexible team player, with strong collaboration skills, self-leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexity.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific data to diverse audiences.
