Job Description:

The Director of HSE Strategy will lead the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function in North Central Europe, overseeing a team of professionals dispersed throughout the region. The primary responsibility involves supporting the HSE needs of Vestas' Customer Project Execution business, providing guidance on all aspects of HSE pertaining to construction and commissioning of onshore and offshore wind turbine generators.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safety culture using human performance principles and operational learning
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with regional and local HSE regulations
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Lead, mentor, and support a geographically dispersed HSE team
  • Analyze hazards and incidents to promote continuous improvement
  • Oversee the development and implementation of HSE strategies, including environmental initiatives
  • Manage ISO standard certifications, audits, and HSE-related training programs
