We are seeking an academic fellow to join our team at Københavns Universitet. As an academic fellow, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on the history of philosophy and literature.
The successful candidate will contribute to the ERC-funded project "Women in the Nordic Enlightenment (WHENCE)", which aims to uncover the intellectual contributions of women to the Nordic Enlightenment. You will be part of a dynamic team of researchers and scholars who are passionate about advancing our understanding of this important period in history.
Job DescriptionThe academic fellow will be responsible for:
- Conducting independent research and collaborating with other team members to achieve project goals.
- Investigating writings reflecting on women's intellectual capacities and defending their intellectual equality.
- Exploring the development of various arguments, philosophical traditions, and argumentative strategies used by women to counter traditional views about women's intellectual deficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A PhD in philosophy or a relevant related subject such as history, literature, or history of ideas.
- Expertise in the history of philosophy and literature or history or history of ideas.
- High proficiency in English and Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish.
