Observability Architect

At Dalux, we are building a new area from the ground up in our scale-up environment. As an experienced Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the observability of our SaaS applications in AWS.

We are looking for a skilled professional to implement monitoring and alarms in our AWS production setup. You will also collaborate with development teams and customer support on future focus areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement and fine-tune monitoring and alarm systems in our AWS environment.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the observability track and guide dev teams on best practices.

As an ideal candidate, you should have a solid foundation in computer science and expertise in:

Required Skills:

• SaaS Application Observability: Enhance the observability of SaaS applications using observability principles, tools, and best practices.
• Observability Tool Stack: Experience with observability tools like AWS CloudWatch, Open Telemetry, and Elastic stack ELK.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM): Analyze and improve performance using APM tools and practices.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure health checks as code, automate observability processes, and ensure infrastructure is managed as code.
• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Familiarity with AWS cloud services, architectures, and best practices beyond observability.
• Scripting and Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages and experience automating observability and monitoring tasks.
• Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and driving large cross-team projects.
