About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Data Risk Specialist to join our IT, Security & Data Risk team within the second line of defence (2LoD) function at Danske Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building procedures and processes for data risk management, including maintaining key risk data that assists 2LoD in monitoring and oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the risk data foundation for the risk type 'Data Risk.'
  • Communicate with stakeholders on the ongoing work throughout the bank related to Data Management and Data Governance.
  • Develop and maintain data risk monitoring and oversight for the Danske Bank Group, working with other relevant stakeholders in NFR and GRM.
  • Support and advise other business units and risk functions on controls, risk, and governance practices concerning data management.
  • Review the design, implementation, and operational effectiveness of key data management controls.
  • Evaluate the data quality in usage and the ability to use data to tell comprehensive data stories.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role or, alternatively, in a relevant role that has provided you with a solid understanding and insights.
  • Proven understanding of data risk management, data management, and data governance, with the ability to apply these skills in day-to-day work to solve problems and help scale the risk oversight area.
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent, e.g., within Technology domains or experience.
  • Experience in, or a genuine drive to rapidly self-learn, the principles of Data Risk Management.
  • Advanced skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Relevant certification, such as any one of these: CDMP, DGSP, CIMP.
