The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, located at the University of Copenhagen, is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary research group, you will contribute to groundbreaking research in data science, epidemiology, bioinformatics, and genomics.
About the Position:
This 3-year postdoctoral position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative research projects, leveraging large-scale EU grants to identify distinct subtypes of type 2 diabetes. You will analyze extensive datasets, characterize how these subtypes respond differently to preventive interventions, and uncover novel insights into the complex disease.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze comprehensive phenotype data, including wearables, molecular markers, and behavioral factors.
- Conduct in-depth subtyping based on wearable and metabolic phenotype data repositories.
- Integrate rich datasets with cutting-edge omics technologies, including genomics and metagenomics.
Requirements:
- PhD in Data Science, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, or Machine Learning.
- Expertise in handling and analyzing data from wearable devices.
- Previous research experience with continuous glucose monitors is a plus.
- A strong computational background and expertise in dealing with large datasets, including human genetics.
- High-level proficiency in programming languages.
