About Us
Trademark Textiles, a full-service textile manufacturer headquartered in Kolding, Denmark, is seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join its German team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring textiles for selected customers and developing our supply chain. This involves working closely with sales, design, and local Far East colleagues daily. Frequent travel to the Far East, China, and Bangladesh is required to visit suppliers and ensure quality and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure textiles for selected customers while ensuring contractual security and risk management of the supply chain.
- Negotiate and troubleshoot with international suppliers independently.
- Manage suppliers and develop our supply chain in accordance with strategic goals from the team.
- Coordinate production aspects including negotiations, certifications, planning, quality assurance, shipping, and invoicing.
- Sourcing new primary suppliers as well as evaluating Tier 2 suppliers.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and German, both written and oral.
- Relevant academic degree, Bachelor level or higher preferably in Business and/or Fashion.
- Previous work experience (+1 year) within procurement, not limited to textiles.
- International experience during past work, studies, or travels abroad is a positive addition.
- Good economic understanding, flair for numbers, and more than basic experience with Excel.
- Expected travel of 50 - 60 days per year.
- Ability to be a team player and work in a highly competitive industry.
