  • Managing and storing large datasets: The candidate will manage and store large datasets locally and publicly available databases.
  • Keeping track of novel tools and methods: The candidate will stay up-to-date with novel tools and methods for the analysis of omics data.

Required qualifications:

  • A PhD in data science, computational biology, mathematics, bioinformatics, or a related field within the STEM disciplines.
  • An understanding of bioinformatics and experience with large datasets commonly used in an academic setting.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with HPC is considered beneficial.
  • Deep knowledge of multivariate statistics, statistical modeling, and numerical methods.
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques is considered beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and shell scripting and experience with data science, graphical, and statistical libraries.
