Are you passionate about Health and Safety and technical leadership? We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert to drive chemical agenda, support risk assessments, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.

The Position

This role will involve providing technical leadership on Health and Safety Chemical aspects, developing the chemical agenda, and supporting all Corporate CVP areas within chemical aspects of Development Product Portfolio & Emerging Technologies (DPP&ET) on a global level.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support DPP&ET CVP organization as chemical expert, including production and/or checking of early phase project deliverables appropriate to discipline speciality.
  • Support process risk assessments to establish and deliver safe process operations and meet drug substance quality requirements.
  • Oversee changes in legislation globally/international standards, proactively secure standards, procedure, etc., are timely aligned and implemented.
  • Investigate chemical accidents and environmental liaison with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • Support chemical management of changes processes, classification of new chemicals and products, and developing procedures for chemical handling.

Additionally, you will be overall responsible for DPP & ET global training programs for chemical handling, ensuring compliance with organization and government standards.

Please note that you will be working on both sites Måløv and Høje Taastrup, other than a few days per week from home if desired.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or master's degree in chemical management or a strictly related field.
  • Have extensive experience in Chemical Management roles, in either a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
  • Have been in a Health & Safety role before.
  • Possess strong knowledge of local and international chemical regulations and standards.
  • Have experience in conducting chemical risk assessments and implementation of preventive actions.

As we work in an international environment, professional English proficiency is required.

You will work in a crossed matrix organization, so you demonstrate excellent communication skills to thrive on a high level of stakeholder management and coordination across.

On a personal level, you have the ability to identify better practices and creating improvements in methods, techniques, and approaches, with a problem-solving attitude.

Finally, you can set directions and deliver results within the context of a wider operational area, are skilled in handling most situations independently and with routine, while seeking advice and guidance on more complex issues.

As our Subject Matter Expert within Chemicals, you will join the dynamic and evolving ET Business Development & Support (ET BDS) team based in Taastrup. Working across all 7 (C)VP areas of ET, the ET BDS team serves as the Executive Office to the Senior Vice President of ET.
