Veo, a pioneer in AI-based sports camera technology, seeks an exceptional Senior/Staff Data Engineer to spearhead the development and maintenance of our data platform. With offices globally, we empower sports teams to record matches without manual intervention.

As a Staff Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring consistent operations for extracting value from data. You'll bring your experience, opinions, and principles to the design and building of our data platform, enabling operational clarity and future data products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and quality for users
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, develop data models, and optimize pipelines
  • Develop scalable, efficient, and reliable ETL processes using best practices for data ingestion, storage, and processing
  • Propagate data engineering best practices across teams, including documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements
  • Monitor data infrastructure, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role at the Senior level or above
  • Technological concepts exploration, practical approach, and motivated to take initiative
  • A mindset of caring about value created with data for end-users
  • Extensive experience with data infrastructure and architecture at scale
  • Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Fluent in SQL, understanding modern data warehouses (ideally BigQuery)
  • Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills
