The Role

This key position will help fill a gap left by a departing safety engineer and will be crucial in system integration, configuration, and validation of trackside components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in trackside systems work, including configuration, interlocking (LBS), TMS, and balise systems.
  • Apply CENELEC and CSM standards to safety-critical systems.
  • Perform interface analysis between system components and other subsystems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, including hazard identification and consequence impact.
  • Serve as an independent safety validator, reporting to the team lead.
  • Lead and support validation activities in coordination with other teams.
  • Collaborate on documentation, certification, and technical reporting.
  • Assist in scaling and mentoring internal team members on safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of CENELEC standards (ISO 50129 & ISO 50126) and safety-critical systems in the railway domain.
  • Familiarity with the Danish rail environment and experience in trackside systems is preferred.
  • Background in system engineering, validation, and testing.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Danish or other local languages is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with interface validation, documentation, and risk analysis.
