As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving innovation, maintainability, and scalability of our financial product.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement backend architecture and systems that enable headless functionality and provide a seamless experience for customers.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed backend architecture and design.
- Own the design process, implementation, and verification of framework components using standard software engineering methodologies.
- Integrate our ledger technology with external systems, including open banking platforms, payment processors, and accounting systems.
- Lead backend engineering and solve complex problems, such as invoice matching algorithms, credit scoring systems, fee optimization algorithms, and analytics systems.
- 5+ years of experience in Python programming.
- 5+ years of experience in the AWS ecosystem.
- 3+ years of experience with banking integrations.
- 2+ years of experience with accounting integrations.
- Experience with payment gateways and processors like Stripe.
- Experience with backend development and different technologies, including MQ's, cache's, and architectural patterns.
- Experience with writing tests, including unit, integration, and performance tests.
- Hands-on experience with performance and optimization problems and the ability to diagnose and prevent these problems.
- Extreme attention to detail and an obsession for scalable systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, including GitHub Actions and AWS CodeDeploy.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Experience with Postman.
- Starting salary of €5,000 per month, including above-market rate warrants and a clear timeline to promotion and cash and equity bonuses.
