The Københavns Universitet seeks a renowned expert in veterinary biochemistry to join its esteemed research group.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with extensive knowledge in veterinary biochemistry, organic chemistry, and cell biology.

You will be associated with the research group of Disease Stem Cell Models and Embryology, focusing on disease modeling using cutting-edge stem cell approaches for neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Parkinson's disease), epilepsy, and glaucoma in animals and humans.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, including publication and academic dissemination
  • Deliver research-based teaching, including supervision of bachelor, master, and PhD students
  • Lead research initiatives, guiding and supervising researchers
  • Disseminate knowledge to society
  • Perform academic assessments
  • Secure independent research funding
Required Expertise:
  • Research qualifications within veterinary biochemistry, organic chemistry, and cell biology
  • Experience in securing external funding for research projects
  • Teaching qualifications and pedagogical competences
  • Research-based teaching expertise

The successful candidate is expected to possess excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
