Network Architect Internship for Sustainable Development

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global leader in promoting sustainable development and eradicating poverty. As an ICT Architecture and Projects Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting UNDP Country Offices worldwide with effective Digital Platform Services.
Our team at the Unit of Information and Technology Management (ITM) in Copenhagen is responsible for providing ICT solutions that enhance the academic life experience of passionate students as interns and empower them to become socially responsible, innovative, and environmentally conscious leaders of tomorrow.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to assist in providing effective Digital Platform Services to UNDP Country Offices worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the provision of Digital Platform Services, including OneICTbox, Managed Security Services, cloud-based network infrastructure services, and IoT solutions;
- Supporting the Smart Facility Projects related coordination, development of project-related documents, and liaising with internal and external parties;
- Providing advisory support to UNDP Country Offices to implement stable and robust ICT infrastructure through satellite services, firewall services, IoT, and innovative ICT solutions;
- Maintaining and upgrading Connectivity monitoring – Global NMS platform (using SNMP, API, and others);
- Promoting, testing, and working with Cloud solutions – Cisco/Meraki technology/solution and similar;
- Developing and implementing cloud-based Unified Communication System;
- Supporting the team in developing Business Applications based on SharePoint Online, PowerApps, PowerBI, together with Data Analytics tools;
- Assisting with Service management models including ITIL Best Practice and a Service Desk, Service Catalogue;
- Contributing to the Enterprise Architecture and Governance related areas, including strategies, policies, standards, guidelines, and compliance related matters;
- Supporting the development of the Smart Facilities Infrastructure Insights reporting platform using Python, API, Web technologies, other relevant tools and technologies, and integration of AIOps;
- Contributing to draft quality-focused training material, procedures, instructions, and templates from best practice and disseminating through a Practice Community;
- Assisting the Unit in organizing internal and external conferences;
- Assisting in the promotion of ITM's overall ICT strategic framework and work plan pertaining to the minimum ICT standards, infrastructure, and connectivity dimensions;
- Assisting the Business Development Group in hosting webinars and presenting/explaining ICT solutions that are developed in-house to country offices;
