If so, this position as a Buyer of textiles in our German team might be a great fit.
About the Position
The role involves purchasing textiles for selected customers and developing our supply chain. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities across the company's value chain, working closely with sales, design, and Far East colleagues daily. You will also travel frequently to the Far East, China, and Bangladesh to visit and work with suppliers, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure Contractual Security and Risk Management of the Supply Chain
- Negotiate International Contracts and Troubleshoot Complex Issues
- Manage Suppliers and Develop Our Supply Chain in Accordance with Strategic Goals
- Develop Products from Concept to Final Product
- Coordinate Production Across All Aspects, Including Negotiations, Certifications, Planning, Quality Assurance, Shipping, and Invoicing
- Sourcing New Primary Suppliers and Evaluating Tier 2 Suppliers
Your Profile
- You Must Be Fluent in English and German, Both Written and Oral
- Hold a Relevant Academic Degree, Preferably in Business and/or Fashion
- Have Previous Work Experience in Procurement, Not Limited to Textiles
- International Experience, Either Through Work, Studies, or Travel, Is a Plus
- Have a Good Understanding of Economics, Numeracy, and Excel Skills
- Be Able to Travel 50-60 Days Per Year and Work in a Competitive Industry
