Orthopaedic Surgeon and Trauma Leader

The Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University invites applications for a senior position as Clinical Professor and Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. The successful candidate will lead research initiatives, contribute to teaching, and engage in departmental management. This is a combined position at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital.

About the Department

Aarhus University's Department of Clinical Medicine is a leading health science research department in Denmark. Our clinical research spans all medical specialties and is conducted in close collaboration with the university hospital and regional hospitals. As a Clinical Professor and Chair, you will be part of a dynamic team of 425 academic employees and approximately the same number of PhD students.

Your Competences

We seek an exceptional researcher with a strong track record in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. You should possess solid research and teaching qualifications, experience in supervising PhD students, and a demonstrated ability to attract external funding. Additionally, you should have broad regional, national, and international cooperative partnerships and experience working with private and public-sector stakeholders.
