We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Development Engineer to join our team at Vestas. As a key member of our Supplier Quality & Development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards, safety, and environmental responsibility in our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy Quality Strategy: Develop and implement the Vestas Quality, Safety, and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers under the Indirect category - Capex & Tools.
- Facilitate Supplier Quality: Collaborate with regional and global teams to facilitate supplier quality, capability, and performance topics, ensuring compliance with regional and global strategy.
- Implement Market Entry Strategy: Develop and execute new market entry strategies and supplier onboarding processes, ensuring adherence to Vestas processes.
- Secure Supplier Improvement: Work with regional QHSE and Construction teams to secure agreement on completion of supplier improvement activities.
- Guide QSE Activities: Facilitate supplier QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents, ensuring alignment with Vestas requirements.
- Facilitate Supplier Business Review Meetings: Organize and lead cross-functional supplier business review meetings.
- Develop Supplier Development Projects: Design and conduct supplier development projects and local initiatives to enhance supplier performance.
- Conduct QHSE Audits: Perform QHSE audits and prepare executive reports.
This role requires frequent travel and extended stays for work, approximately 60-70% of the job.
Requirements- Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in similar positions with supplier management, safety, and quality focus.
- Skills: Experience with supplier management and driving improvement projects in quality, process, and safety areas, as well as project management skills and data analytics.
- Certifications: Certified auditor/lead auditor ISO, other standards, and relevant quality-safety certifications are advantageous.
- Language: Fluency in English.
