Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new platform team at The LEGO Group, driving innovation in IT technology to enhance the molding area's automation, optimization, and reliability.

The platform technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering areas of the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Help shape the direction and culture of a brand-new team with no legacy systems.
  • Drive and build the technical platform.

Contribute to Team Success

In this position, you will be part of a product team where you will develop a platform that enables other product teams to collect data from the factory floor and deploy software that interacts with factory machines. You will be close to the hardware, ensuring that our machines can connect to the cloud in a secure, scalable, and easily maintainable way. The platform will be designed to work with small, low-cost computing devices in an IoT-like scenario. The goal is to have a zero-touch provisioning platform to avoid the need for specialized IT knowledge on the factory floor.

Requirements

  • Skilled in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or similar.
  • Some experience with IoT.
  • Experience with infrastructure, preferably infrastructure as code.
  • Proficient in CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Containerization.
  • Knowledgeable in working with AWS or Azure cloud providers.
  • Enjoys working with software and hardware together.
  • Works independently and can help set the direction for the product team.
  • Open for new initiatives and drives great team culture.
  • Able to communicate and document ideas with peers.

Nice to Have

  • Passion and curiosity.
  • Experience with network devices.
  • You might have experience as a systems administrator, but you also have experience with software development.
  • Experience with OS provisioning.
