Aarhus Universitet (AU) invites applications for a Biotechnology Researcher - Data Science Specialist position at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of researchers, supporting them with data management, analysis, and visualization of omics data generated from different platforms.

Key responsibilities will include supporting PhD students and postdocs with data management and submission to relevant repositories, as well as keeping track of tools and methods for biological data analysis and integrating novel tools and methods for the analysis of omics data.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in data science, computational biology, mathematics, bioinformatics, or a related field within the STEM disciplines. You should have experience with large datasets commonly used in an academic setting, excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Experience with HPC is considered beneficial, as well as deep knowledge of multivariate statistics, statistical modeling, and numerical methods. Advanced proficiency in Python and shell scripting and experience with data science, graphical, and statistical libraries are essential.
