Job Overview
\We are seeking an experienced R&D Hardware Engineer to join our team in System Lifecycle Support. This role is part of Pathology R&D in our Diagnostics and Genomics Group, aiming to strengthen our System Lifecycle engineering activities.
\The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality portfolio of pathology stainer instruments for cancer diagnostics, working closely with a broad range of stakeholders within the organization.
\Key Responsibilities
\- Drive activities and projects related to instrument portfolio improvement, sustaining activities, and design transfer projects.
- Provide expert inputs during manufacturing issues, customer complaint handling, and improvement projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute on sustain activities, analysis of complaints, securing good hardware design, serviceability, and manufacturability.
- Ensure that marketed instruments comply with regulatory requirements, plan testing, and test execution as part of verification, and document according to internal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
\- A background as Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with experience in engineering design, product development, and sustaining/maintenance.
- Experience with design and manufacturing of metal and plastic parts, knowledge on how to obtain robust product designs through product development.
- Experience with design controls including requirements engineering, design verification, change control, product risk management, and documentation with medical devices.
- Experience from a regulated environment – Medical Devices or Pharma.
- Skilled in and have experience with robust engineering design and root cause analysis.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential for this international environment.
