The Novo Nordisk Foundation is looking for a talented Foundry Specialist to lead our efforts in establishing a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units using novel methods that meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.

About Our Team

You will be part of a close-knit team collaborating closely with world-leading researchers in the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) based at the Niels Bohr Institute.

Responsibilities
  • Development and Improvement: Developing and improving novel wafer-scale characterization and pattern alignment using optical methods.
  • Optical Setup Design: Creating prototype optical setups utilizing laser sources, cameras, alignment stages, mirrors etc.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Coordinating projects and roadmaps with tools and process development teams towards fully packaged QPU's.
Requirements
  • MSc or PhD in Physics specializing in optical engineering.
  • Self-motivating personality with high personal drive, commitment, and initiative.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and teach others.
  • Ability to collaborate well with academic partners.
  • Data acquisition and control.
  • Preferably experience with Ultra High Vacuum systems.
  • Win/Linux/Python/C software knowledge.
  • Meticulous writing of documentation and test reports.
