Supply Chain Management Student Assistant

Are you interested in working with complex supply chains and optimizing raw material flow? Do you enjoy keeping an overview of capacity at multiple warehouses? We are seeking a Supply Chain Management Student Assistant to join our API Pilots Planning and Optimisation team at Novo Nordisk.

The Role

As a Supply Chain Management Student Assistant, you will assist our Supply Chain Planner in overseeing and controlling the process of raw materials and intermediates from suppliers into Novo Nordisk warehouses. Your tasks will include:

  • Monitoring and ensuring forecasting for incoming raw materials, including demand vs. inventory management
  • Forecasting and maintaining an overview of our capacity and utilization of ambient, cold, and frost warehouses
  • Following up and continuing communication with internal stakeholders in Novo Nordisk at the warehouses, production areas, and functions like Sourcing Operations
  • Performing analysis on critical raw materials, including assessment of needed inventory levels
  • Supporting in optimizing processes in the supply chain

We expect you to work 15 hours a week on average, with flexibility during exam periods.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Eagerness to learn and ability to manage your time effectively
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, both independently and in a team
  • Confidence in making decisions and overseeing complex issues
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in SAP or STYX being a plus but not mandatory
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English and ability to speak, read, and understand Danish

This position involves forecasting raw material and warehouse demands, analysis of supply chain bottlenecks, and communication with key internal stakeholders. You should be comfortable in decision-making and confident in communication with stakeholders in different parts of the organization.

About the Department

You will be part of the API Pilots Planning and Optimisation department in the Data & Supply Chain team. We are a high-performing team driven by exploring, process optimisation, and solving complex business challenges. Our team consists of 15 professionals working with supply chain, production planning, data, and project management. Our home base is in Bagsværd, Copenhagen area.
