This position will allow you to engage in strengthening EU laboratories' capacities within phenotypic and genomic surveillance of antimicrobial resistance.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To work independently to plan and carry out complex tasks, while engaging constructively in international and cross-disciplinary settings
  • To assist in organising proficiency tests and courses within antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) and whole genome sequencing (WGS)
  • To provide reference services and confirmatory testing by broth microdilution and WGS

You Must Have:

  • A master's degree in bacteriology or applied molecular microbiology or similar
  • In-depth knowledge within microbial foodborne pathogens and AMR
  • Technical skills in standard microbiology techniques, AST using broth microdilution, and laboratory work for WGS for Enterobacterales, Campylobacter, Enterococcus, Staphylococcus
