Senior Procurement Manager, Procurement Excellence

This role is part of our Procurement Excellence team, where dedicated procurement practitioners drive the excellence and optimisation agenda in VELUX Global Procurement.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who can join our team and contribute to creating a positive impact for VELUX.

Your challenges will include:

  • Driving or supporting local or global strategic procurement initiatives where Global Procurement is in the lead or has a key role (e.g., new business processes, methodologies, frameworks, other improvements)
  • Supporting the transformation of Global Procurement by implementing best-practices in selected procurement areas
  • Scoping and managing selected projects, and engaging and activating relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring project performance and time management
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of relevant procurement tools, methodologies, processes, policies, systems
  • Developing training material for relevant tools, methodologies, policies, systems, and training users
  • Providing procurement tool support and advice/recommendations to users to support capability building
  • Bringing in new ideas and perspectives that support the purpose of the role
  • Influencing decisions within the area of expertise and working on the basis of a Total Cost of Ownership mindset
  • Challenging the status quo

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience with managing complex projects in international settings
  • Experience with implementing SAP Ariba Guided Buying
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or a related field
  • Min. 3 years of experience with project management within procurement or supply chain (as project manager, consultant or similar)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of key project management tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of change management theory, influencing techniques, and coaching, and practical experience with these
  • A well-organized and structured approach with the ability to navigate in a somewhat complex business environment and in somewhat complex assignments
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks within given assignments
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication skills and ability to prepare clear and concise presentations tailored to the target audience
  • Experience with and capability of delivering training
  • An agile, open-minded, and curious approach
  • Result-orientation and a pro-active mindset with commercial interest and flair
  • Capability of managing multiple tasks with respect to deadlines and quality of work
  • Capable of preparing, executing, and completing complex assignments within procurement and with relevant cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
