At Gentoo Media Inc., we're seeking a skilled Finance PMO Manager to join our team and provide strategic support to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a finance professional to work closely with the CFO, assisting in day-to-day tasks, and contributing to strategic and operational activities. As a key member of the finance team, you will help drive business outcomes, align finance activities with company goals, and ensure the CFO's output is maximized across all areas of responsibility.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Support: Facilitate, participate in, and follow up on key meetings, particularly within the Finance team, to ensure timely execution of the CFO's agenda and critical finance-related priorities.
  • Task Coordination and Delegation: Assist the CFO in coordinating, delegating, and monitoring tasks within the Finance team, ensuring that workflows are aligned with business goals.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of projects on behalf of the CFO, specifically within the Finance team, helping set up organizational structures and processes to ensure success.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Align the Finance team's activities with broader financial objectives and strategic plans to support the company's goals.
  • Presentation and Communication: Prepare compelling presentations and written materials for finance meetings, leadership updates, and external stakeholders.
  • Build Organizational Efficiency: Help streamline workflows, organize priorities, and ensure the CFO roadmap within the Finance team is effectively executed.
  • Growth-Focused: As you gain deeper insights into the company's financial operations, you'll take on increasing levels of responsibility, positioning this role as a stepping stone into future leadership opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a role directly supporting upper management, ideally in an international environment.
  • Proficient in English communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strategic mindset: You think ahead, act with purpose, and align decisions with long-term financial goals.
  • 3-4 years of experience in an area within Finance: A strong understanding of financial principles, allowing you to better support high-level business decisions and discussions within the Finance team.
  • Project management experience: Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional finance teams, and drive projects to completion.
  • Fast thinker: You thrive in fast-paced environments, make quick decisions, and adapt to changing situations with ease.
  • Initiative and self-drive: You take the lead on tasks, think critically about how to improve processes, and take ownership of your work.
