About the Role:

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a highly qualified Event and Project Officer to support the implementation of a global donor roundtable in Geneva, Switzerland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring procurement administrative and logistical arrangements for the event, as well as developing visibility materials.

The role involves close collaboration with the Global Project Leads from DRC and WRC, donors, and local partners in the four countries of implementation.

The candidate will also provide administrative and logistical support, including procurement, planning, organisation, and follow-up of the donor roundtable and other events.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in project management and mobilising and networking with a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure procurement administrative and logistical arrangements for the event.
  • Develop visibility materials for the donor roundtable.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including procurement, planning, organisation, and follow-up of the donor roundtable and other events.
  • Collaborate with the Global Project Leads from DRC and WRC, donors, and local partners in the four countries of implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years' experience in events and project management, including finance, logistical, and administrative aspects.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively in a team consisting of a variety of different and diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
  • Fluency in English.
