Job Overview

The position of Analytical Specialist is available in the Analytical Science & Methods department at Novo Nordisk A/S. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of analytical procedures for new injectable drug products to be implemented in Novo Nordisk QC laboratories.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality of analytical procedures for new injectable drug products.
  • Support chemical analysis of injectable drug products both internally and globally in QC laboratories as well as Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs).
  • Document analytical methods on marketed injectable drug products, ensuring compliance with pharmacopoeias and external requirements.
  • Provide scientific support and evaluation for various optimisation, automation, and development projects within the area.

About the Department
The Analytical Science & Methods department is a part of the Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology (AMSAT) unit. The department consists of approximately 70 employees organised into five teams. We are responsible for providing central support functions related to chemical analysis of Novo Nordisk injectable finished products under development, as well as our marketed products.

We work closely with colleagues globally, providing analytical knowledge and scientific help while driving optimisation of analytical methods. Furthermore, we are on a journey involving scouting, testing, and implementing fast analytical techniques to reduce the lead time for analysis with the ambitious long-term goal of real-time release testing of injectable finished products.
