About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join our Copenhagen office, specializing in design, project management, and client delivery. As a key member of our team, you will work on various projects, from initial briefs to scheme and detail design, installation, and commissioning support.

This permanent role offers excellent career development prospects and the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing detailed technical input across a range of projects as a Project Engineer.
  • Maintaining high-quality work standards in line with Arup's Quality Management systems.
  • Representing Arup in internal and external meetings, including leading approvals negotiations and acting as a competent communicator.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, providing fire engineering expertise as needed.
  • Managing project time, quality, and performance, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Preparing and reviewing project reports for clients, strategically advising on best outcomes.
  • Leading site inspections and assisting in preparing fee proposals for a range of project sizes and complexities.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in Fire Engineering or a related field, extensive knowledge of fire engineering, and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and standards. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification design and construction experience.
  • A strong understanding of European fire safety standards (knowledge of Danish standards is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in reviewing technical calculations and solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget monitoring and meeting deadlines.
