As Director of Platform Engineering, you will assume leadership of our engineering teams responsible for building the technology platform that underpins our products and services. Your team's deliveries will span from making key contributions to the product to supporting other teams with capabilities and tools.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of a highly scalable and maintainable technology platform
  • E nsure that your team's work serves the customer, internal or external
  • Hire high-level engineers
  • Motivate and coach teams
  • Contribute to technical alignment and good engineering practices within our engineering department
  • Manage FTE and cost budget across the group
  • Drive important topics like security, business continuity, and on-call
Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. Deep experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture at scale
  2. Experience in designing a modern platform
  3. Solid engineering background, both educationally and as a hands-on individual contributor
  4. Extensive engineering leadership experience as a director or higher
  5. Awesome personality contributing to an innovative positive team spirit
  6. Knowledge of what good looks like when it comes to building and operating large-scale cloud platforms
  7. Ideal experience with video processing and/or ML inference at scale
  8. A preference for leading through empowerment and trust
  9. The ability to go deep in the tech and discuss challenges
  10. Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills
