Kongens Lyngby, Lyngby-Tårbæk Kommune, Denmark DTU - Technical University of Denmark Full time
Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at DTU Construct, Section of Digital Building Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new methods to model the growth, evolution, and genes of buildings.

About the Project

The project aims to develop a new framework for understanding the growth, evolution, and genetics of buildings. This involves analyzing existing and preexisting buildings to understand their growth stages, including the integration of different building systems, and identifying candidate 'genes' for buildings that could be used to support the design and analysis of better, more sustainable buildings in the future.

The Postdoc will work closely with our team of researchers and engineers to develop new methods and tools for analyzing and visualizing building data. They will also contribute to the development of a new research field of building development, evolution, and genetics.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Develop new methods to model the growth, evolution, and genes of buildings
  • Analyze existing and preexisting buildings to understand their growth stages and identify candidate 'genes' for buildings
  • Contribute to the development of a new research field of building development, evolution, and genetics
  • Work closely with our team of researchers and engineers to develop new methods and tools for analyzing and visualizing building data
Requirements
  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as architecture, engineering, or biology
  • Experience in computational design, building information modeling (BIM), and/or genetic programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a team environment
