We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Beverage Formulation Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new applications and building protein knowledge within the beverage area focusing on nutrition and physio-chemical properties.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Providing application support in the development of new ingredients
  • Managing knowledge application projects
  • Participating in the development of new concepts illustrating the capabilities of our ingredients
  • Offering technical support to customers and our sales colleagues
  • Participating in customer visits and seminars
  • In close collaboration with our application technicians, you will formulate new recipes, set up pilot scale and laboratory trials, followed by documentation and presentation of findings

This role involves activities in cross-functional teams within AFI. This includes scientific as well as commercial departments. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experts in various fields to drive innovation and growth.

The position requires some travel activities. As a Beverage Formulation Expert, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

You hold a PhD or a Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry or similar, and if you have knowledge within protein chemistry, use of ingredients like emulsifiers and stabilisers from the industry it will be a plus. You have experience within product development, project management, and food processing. Experience with beverage technology and especially UHT treatment will be an advantage. More importantly, you take a strong interest in developing your skills within these areas.

As a person, you are open-minded and positive, innovative and a skilled communicator, who is able to network with many important stakeholders. Moreover, you know that proper and systematic documentation is an important part of successful project management, and you value teamwork as a tool to achieve results successfully. You are proficient in written and spoken English.
