The University of Copenhagen is seeking a talented machine learning researcher to join our team at the Center for Basic Machine Learning Research in Life Science (MLLS). As a machine learning programmer, you will work on developing research infrastructure to advance state-of-the-art protein engineering tools.
You will be part of a dedicated team that develops generative models of molecules, which are used in conjunction with Bayesian optimization tools for designing new molecules. Your main area of expertise is in software development and deployment, and we expect you to have a strong set of Python skills, experience with Docker or similar container technologies, and experience with software testing and continuous integration.
We offer a creative and energetic work environment with a flat hierarchical structure and next-to-no administrative overhead. You will have a defining role in how the software you co-develop is structured, and you will report to Professor Ole Winther.
The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and IT-officers in the state.
You will be employed as IT Officer, and the salary is based on seniority. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible. The working time is 37 hours per week on average.
If you find the job interesting, please send an electronic application with attachment via Jobportalen (click on the link "Apply Now" at the bottom of the post) no later than 2 June 2023 23:59 CET +2. Interviews will be held continuously.
The University of Copenhagen seeks to reflect society and encourages applications irrespective of personal background.
