The Business Development Team is part of the broader Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) Team in CIP, which encompasses approximately ~60 employees from diverse backgrounds across 15 nationalities. The IR & BD Team covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement. You will become part of an international and diverse team composed of professionals from different backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting, and law. The IR & BD team operates out of 7 offices across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.
The Business Development Team reports directly to CIP management and focuses on new investment product and fund strategies, including structuring of investor commitments.
We offer significant responsibility and opportunities for growth as a Student Analyst in the Business Development team.
Your key areas of work include:
- Conducting market analysis to support preparation of commercial fundraising materials, such as renewable energy market analyses, competitor strategies, and positioning.
- Supporting creation of materials for leadership and investor meetings.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders on selected projects, such as legal, ESG, financial planning, investment teams, etc.
- Handling various data and process requests.
The job is part-time, requiring 15-20 hours per week, and based in our office in NordØ.
We are looking for students in their last semester of Bachelor's or first semester of Master's studies, ideally studying economics or law. Key qualifications include willingness to learn, interest in the energy market, private equity, and investor space. We value high and positive energy, humbleness, and a curious mindset.
Relevant work experience could be from a law firm (preferably M&A or fund formation), consulting, a private equity firm, or banking, or roles in strategy/financing/business development in corporations.
You should possess:
- An analytical and structured approach to make clear recommendations from research.
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to present analysis and solutions to complex problems in a precise manner.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Deliver high-quality output with attention to details, demonstrate self-motivation, and a willingness to learn.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment with the ability to work independently and within tight timelines.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new ways of working with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong academic achievements and interest in strategy, project management, and renewable energy.
