About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Team Lead to join our team at AXIO Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers, driving innovation and continuous improvements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

About the Team

Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining our airfare data platform, which is built on cutting-edge cloud technologies. We process several billion events every day, and our platform offers near real-time data queries and historical analytical workloads. We are looking for a team lead who can help us implement an ingestion and delivery system that can manage ever-growing big data volumes efficiently, measured in low latency and attractive price point.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Recruit and develop high-performing team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key interface to internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvements, staying up-to-date with relevant technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure Continuous Delivery best practices are followed, and the best coding practices are applied.
  • Ensure well-structured documentation is produced, and Agile methodology is applied to ensure efficient delivery of project scope.
  • Share business domain and technical knowledge across the organization, owning overall product architecture and technical vision.
  • Contribute to overall OAG architecture and technical vision, and participate in product development activities.
Requirements
  • Strong background in hands-on software engineering role, with experience in.NET development, QA engineering, or similar.
  • Solid experience in Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Practices, including automation testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform, and experience working with AWS.
  • Experience with SQL, MS SQL, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Databricks, and Scala.
  • Experience working with Azure is beneficial, as is experience with CosmosDB or another NoSQL database.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, great communication skills, and fluency in English (at least B2).
