Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Novo Nordisk Foundation Full time

Discover a new frontier in quantum computing with our team at Quantum Foundry Copenhagen. As a key member of our Front-end Epitaxy Process (FEP) team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation quantum processors based on in-house chip manufacturing methods.

We are seeking highly skilled Quantum Materials Engineers to join our interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Your work will be centered around creating scalable error-corrected quantum processors in close collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) engineering teams, pilot lines, and external partners.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and improving wafer-scale crystal growth methods, such as high-quality low-dimensional material platforms.
  • Supporting the manufacturing strategy and roadmaps for leading-edge quantum processor development.
  • Implementing and improving standards for systems engineering and data logging/analysis concepts.
  • Performing tests, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging issues regarding tools and processes.
  • Establishing in-line inspection for fast loop materials development.

**Key Responsibilities:**

As a Quantum Materials Engineer, your main responsibilities will be in our FEP team. You will work closely with our NQCP partners to develop novel methods for quantum processor unit (QPU) fabrication.

**Required Qualifications:**

You must have a Master's or PhD degree in material science, chemical/electronic engineering, physics, or a related discipline. You should also have +3 years' experience with materials synthesis and nanodevice fabrication.

A background in Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) epitaxy or oxide material growth using techniques like MBE and/or CVD is an advantage. Additionally, familiarity with system engineering concepts and proficiency in data tracking and analysis methods is preferred.
