About Us
The Natural History Museum of Denmark is the national museum for nature, containing over 14 million preserved animals, plants, fossils, and minerals.
We are currently building a new Danish national museum for nature, featuring state-of-the-art laboratories, research collections, public galleries, and facilities for programming, education, and citizen science.
Our primary focus is on conserving, preparing, and installing various objects for new public galleries, which will cover geology, botany, and zoology areas.
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day management of the conservation lab and scheduling of object treatments.
- Provide preventive conservation needs and advice to the wider museum.
- Investigate, plan, and undertake conservation treatments on natural history collection types.
- Write conservation reports for objects, including detailed photography.
- Organise and supervise projects for interns, volunteers, and collections assistance.
- Oversee packing and transport of objects and assist in final installation of objects into permanent galleries.
